Upgrades Disabled for Avast Business CloudCare

This announcement is no longer active

Partners,

Based on partner feedback on the new Avast Business Antivirus integrated into CloudCare on Sept. 5th 2017, we have noted a variety of Antivirus issues, most notably when upgrading from AVG Antivirus to Avast Business Antivirus:

1. Unsuccessful migration of firewall settings

2. Avast Business Antivirus blocking or causing problems with other installed applications

Other CloudCare related Antivirus issues have been identified, but the issues above are causing the most disruption for our partners.  At this time, Engineering is working to resolve all identified issues as quickly as possible and we will release our first hotfix next Monday to address several issues and a subsequent hotfix shortly thereafter to address the remaining identified issues.

To minimize the impact to partners related to unsuccessful AVG Antivirus to Avast Business upgrades, on Wednesday Nov. 8th 2017 Device and Site Upgrade functions will be temporarily disabled. While upgrade functions are disabled, AVG Antivirus and Avast Business Antivirus will continue to function, receive updates, and protect devices.  Upgrade functions will be restored once all identified Antivirus issues have been fully addressed.

For partners that are currently experiencing issues related to upgrading from AVG Antivirus to Avast Business Antivirus, please contact Technical Support.

From the entire Avast Business Team, we sincerely apologize for any disruption this may have caused our partners and are working diligently to resolve these issues.

Update: We have scheduled the Upgrades from 4.0.0/4.0.1 to 4.0.2 on the 13th November, more details here:

Regards,

Your Avast Business CloudCare Team
