  1. The easiest way to detect if Patch was installed is by initiating a Patch Scan and then looking at the Patch tab in CloudCare. It's very rare for a device to not have at least one patch available.

You can also confirm that Patch was installed on the device by the existence of the following directory: C:\Program Files\AVAST Software\PatchTools

Patch Management documentation can be found in the Webhelp or at:

We've got a client whose server will not install the backup component of CC.  We've tried running the Avast Clear utility and running a fresh re-install with no luck.  I've attached a fresh log file from the most recent install attempt in the hopes that somebody can make heads or tails of what's going wrong.  Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.  If more information would be useful, just let me know what is needed.

    Tony,

Looking at your log file, it appears you're using a master agent. The installer is having problems downloading the OLB installer from the Update Agent. Make sure this device has access to the Update Agent specified in the CloudCare portal. Sometimes firewalls get in the way.

There's also an issue about the .NET runtime not being present. The OLB installer should install this on demand, but it wouldn't hurt to download and install this first. https://download.microsoft.com/download/9/5/A/95A9616B-7A37-4AF6-BC36-D6EA96C8DAAE/dotNetFx40_Full_x86_x64.exe

If neither of these fixes the problem, please contact Support as Pete suggested.

    Mike
